It's a sport that's competed all across the world all the way from the playground to international competitions: tug-of-war!

February 20th's unofficial holiday is International Tug of War day.

The concept of Tug of War is simple. Two competitors or teams of competitors test their strength against each other, typically by pulling on a rope.

Tug of War was actually in the Summer Olympics from 1900 to 1920. Currently, there is also the Tug of War International Federation, and the 2014 TWIF Outdoor Championships will be taking place in Wisconsin this August.
