Maple syrup is commonly used to add to the flavor of breakfast dishes like pancakes and waffles.

December 17th marks an unofficial holiday to celebrate maple syrup. Maple syrup is made from the sap of the maple tree. Maple syrup can also be used to help make other items like maple sugar.
