If you were to ask a calendar on April 1st, “What day are you?” After answering with April Fool's Day, it would respond, “I'm Batman...Day”

The Caped Crusader, created by Bob Kane, has existed in comics since Detective Comics #27, which was released in 1939.

Although he's had a variety of portrayals, Batman is best known as the vigilante of the night, the secret identity of millionaire Bruce Wayne. Batman traditionally fights villains, is a renowned detective, and refuses to use a gun.

Batman has appeared not just in comic books, but also in live-action and animated television series, live-action and animated movies, video games, and much more.

He's one of the most popular DC comics characters and most recognizable comic book characters in general.
