An unofficial holiday celebrates a staple of baseball parks and grilling out: the hot dog.

Typically made of meat, flavorings and preservative, the hot dog can be served many different ways: boiled or grilled, in a bun or by itself, with mustard or with sauerkraut.

July 23rd is the unofficial holiday known as National Hot Dog Day.

In a recent poll question regarding hot dogs asked by News 4, a majority of viewers said that they ate hot dogs often or occasionally, with no one voting in that particular poll saying that they had never tried one.

Tell us how you like your hot dog, what kind is the best, or even show us a picture of you enjoying one!
