Two storms being monitored in the eastern Pacific Ocean are named Karina and Lowell.

Both are not quite hurricanes, but are tropical storms.

And, thankfully, for residents of Hawaii, and the western coasts of the United States and Mexico, they pose no threat to land at this time.

Karina is expected to turn to the north in a few days, while Lowell is moving to the northwest.

According to forecasters, both should weaken with in a week's time.
