On April 7th, 1989, the baseball-themed comedy "Major League" hit theaters.

The movie starred Tom Berenger, Charlie Sheen and Wesley Snipes. In the film, a new owner of the Cleveland Indians baseball team puts together a bad team on purpose, but when the players find out, they do they're best to win anyway.

The movie was a success and would lead to two sequels.
