According to original reports from the Florida Weather Service, snow fell in places like Pensacola and Tallahassee on this day in history in 1892.

Cold air came into the Florida panhandle in the days immediately following Christmas Day in 1892.

Although most precipitation fell as rain, snow fell in Tallahassee on the 26th and Pensacola on the 27th.

Even Jacksonville in Florida reported snowflakes, although accumulations were not measured.
