Jedi Day Camp is a tradition ten years running at the Meridian ATA Academy in Boise, Idaho.

Parents drop off children of all ages at the dojo, where they dress us up as various characters from the Star Wars franchise, play games with the Academy staff and spar with one another using plastic lightsabers.

Despite the mock swordplay, staff members like Lisa Strader insist that the children "show respect to each other by not hitting each other with their lightsabers, they are always showing courtesy and respect while they're here."
