Spring Snow Falls in Vermont

You wouldn't know it was the first day of Spring in parts of Vermont.

Up to a foot of snow fell Thursday morning (03/20) and residents are wondering if mother nature has plans of extending winter longer than Punxsutawney Phil had predicted.

Spring's snowy arrival meant another day of limited business for some as store owners and workers spent more time clearing away the fresh snow.

Snowfall was even more impressive in New Hampshire where some ski areas picked up close to a foot keeping the ski and snowboard season going a little longer.

There's nothing unusual about snow in March, the problem is the past few marches, like 2012, featured temperatures in the 70s and 80s.

There is more snow and cold weather in the forecast for the North East going into the new week.
