Schools were closed, the federal government was shut down, but some folks were glad to see the snow falling in the District of Columbia on Tuesday (01/21).
Conditions were just right for a big snowball fight!
The Washington DC Snowball Fight Association has waited three years for this. A storm that brings enough snow to the District for the group to actually have a battle!
By two p.m., the District has about two inches of snow on the ground. By 6:30 p.m. there was much more snow to bring snowball gladiators to Dupont Circle Park.
Talk about a winter weather fling.
