Severe Flooding at Pennsylvania Grocery Store

A routine shopping trip tot BJ Wholesale Club in Springfield, Delaware County turns into an adventure for these residents.

Ron Freemas said when he reached his car in the parking lot, it was under water.

Based on Doppler radar, the storm threw down at least two inches of rain over Springfield in a short amount of time. A flash flood warning was issued for Delaware County at around 12:30 this afternoon (09/02). A powerful storm, that dropped the rain so fast, that cars quickly filled up with water.

Specialized water rescue units raced to the scene, to help some people get out of their cars. Other shoppers were trapped in the store and unable to even get to their cars, and unsure of what they would find out when they got there."
