Spring flooding is making a mess across Eastern Canada.

On Thursday, the premier of New Brunswick visited Sussex, one of the hardest hit areas in the province.

Officials reported that about 70 percent of the city was flooded yesterday.

Though the situation is still serious, things appear to be getting somewhat better and a state of emergency has been lifted.

Meanwhile, the flooding situation in parts of Quebec appears to be to easing up.

The Saint Francois River overflowed.

And more than 600 people were forced from their homes.
