St.Patrick, Missouri also hosted its 3rd annual Irish Road Bowling competition.

It's a 300 year old Irish competition that combines bowling and golf.

Every year, the competitions held in the middle of Highway 81 just south of the city's limits.

Teams of four players take turns bowling a 28 ounce steel ball down a mile long stretch of the highway towards the finish line.

More than forty teams competed in front of hundreds of spectators from all around the world.

Each team pays a forty dollar entrance fee to compete.

All of that money goes towards funding next year’s competition.
