Nestled in the natural beauty of the Naleczow's gorges, near the eastern Polish town of Lublin, a new hotel is proving to be very popular among nature lovers and those wanting to revive, or at least finally achieve, the childhood dream of living in a tree-house.

Consisting of three elaborate wood residencies, bearing names such as "Pine", "Fir" and "Hornbeam", the hotel is built on treetops overlooking the steep hill of a gorge, surrounded by pristine forests.

Proud hotel-owner Kuba Fraszka decided to build a hotel in such a way as to encourage people to discover the natural beauty of the Naleczow's valley through a more immersive experience.

"We really appreciate the beauty of this place, the beauty of the Naleczow's gorges which are unappreciated and forgotten. We would like to revive them a little, and bring back a youthful spirit (in people) and invite guests here, as it would be undoubtedly a huge attraction," said Fraszka on Sunday (October 12).

Each tree-house, reachable via a steep staircase, is about 20 square metres and comes with heating and other amenities, except for television and radio, purposefully omitted to give residents a full break from modern life.

The houses also feature large windows and spacious terraces, built 8 metres above the ground, where deck chairs give residents the opportunity to relax and enjoy the spectacular views, which transform with the changing of the seasons.

"It was (the tree-house) the biggest attraction that we could find here (in the Naleczow's gorges), with the possibility to admire such a forest. You can see it (the forest) from practically every side (of the house) and also from a slightly different perspective. Usually, walking through the forest, we see roots, and the trunks of the trees, but here we are in the branches, so it is a particularly interesting experience," said Pawel Daniluk, a tree-house guest, who together with his partner Anna, left the bustling city-life of Warsaw.

For Anna Daniluk the tree hotel offered all the comfort of modern housing but with the extra benefit of being fully immersed in nature.

"Everyone at some point in their childhood years, has dreamt about having a tree-house built by their parents, to have fun with friends and hide from parents. I certainly did not have such a house in my childhood. But it turns out that even after becoming an adult we still have the need to return to such places where we are put a couple of meters above the ground, where a person really is in the branches of trees, where it is surprisingly modern, but cosy inside. There is such an unseasoned wood, the scent of which fills up the place. This is a place where a person wants to come back to," added Anna Daniluk.

Hotel co-owner, Malgorata Fraszka, said the hotel was ideal for those wanting to find a place to escape from the hectic lifestyle of big cities.

"Please take a look around, it is a unique place and in such a place, a regular hotel could have not been built. This is a place for people who are busy with their everyday matters, everyday life, big city life and for this kind of people we provide contact with nature, with its serenity and all these things which can not be found in a big city."

To give an extra enhancing experience of living in nature, and lure also younger people to Naleczow, a popular health resort mainly frequented by middle-aged visitors, the hotel owners are already planning their next move: to build camping tents on trees as well as an underground hotel.
