Parts of the northern plains and midwestern United States are bracing for the threat of severe weather later today (Tuesday, June 3rd, 2014).

The Storm Prediction Center has issued a moderate risk of severe weather for parts of Nebraska, Iowa and Missouri. That includes the cities of Omaha and Lincoln.

Beyond that, a slight risk includes areas stretching from Southeastern parts of Montana to extreme Western Indiana.

The risk includes the possibility of long-track tornadoes, very large hail and damaging straight-line winds.
