Over 550 Marijuana Plants Recovered at Midland City Home

On June 26, law enforcement officials received information in reference to a large amount of marijuana plants being produced at a Midland City home.

After receiving information, an investigation was opened and led officials to a residence in the area of County Road 63.

Agents conducted surveillance on the residence and located several marijuana plants outside the property. Based on the findings of the investigation, law enforcement officials were able to obtain a search warrant for the resident.

Over 550 marijuana plants, multiple firearms, marijuana manufacturing equipment and assorted drug paraphernalia were all recovered from the home.

Richard Bryan Parrish, 40, of Midland City was identified as the homeowner of the property.

Parrish was not at the home while police were present, he is currently wanted by the Wiregrass Violent Crime Drug Task Force for trafficking marijuana in addition to being named a certain person forbidden to carry a pistol.
