It's one of the biggest sporting events in the world, and it begins exactly one month from today: the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
The FIFA World Cup takes the best soccer players from across the world and allows them to represent their country in what many call “the beautiful game.”
For the 20th edition of the tournament, Brazil in South America is hosting the event, just two years before they host the 2016 Summer Olympics.
The team for the United States is in Group G, and will have to compete against teams from Germany, Ghana, and Portugal to make it out of group play.
Of note, this will be the first World Cup to use goal-line detection technology. Play kicks off on June 12 when host nation Brazil takes on Croatia in Group A.
