When you think McDonalds, you don't think of sushi. And when you think of sushi, you don't think of snake. But you haven't met Virginia Clagg.
Sushi is just one of the menagerie of pets under Clagg's roof. Clagg says she uses the animals to teach children in her home daycare. But Sushi is the only one who gets to leave the house.
She knows Sushi, much like the fish that shares her name, isn't for everyone. But she was along for the ride last Friday (06/28) as Virginia was running errands, including a stop at the pet store and a swing by McDonald's.
She says no one would've seen Sushi, tucked away in her jacket, had one of her sons not let the secret slip.
Clagg then tells what happens next, "A manager comes in and says you have to leave. You can't keep a snake in here. I was like, okay. I get it. We're gonna go. Can I just have a bag for our food?"
Virginia says she was packing up her kids and their food, but apparently not fast enough for management, who she says repeatedly ordered her out, and eventually called police.
Clagg elaborates, "Four different people - four different times, leave leave leave and then calling the police on me and I've got my children with me? who does that?"
