Notable Home Video Releases: November 12th, 2013

Superheroes human and alien along with talking cars and sentient snails unite on retail shelves on DVD and Blu-Ray this week.

These are some of the notable releases for November 12th, 2013 in Region 1 (North America) coming to retail on Blu-Ray and/or DVD:

Man of Steel (Warner Home Video, PG-13, DVD & Blu-Ray) – A darker, grittier reboot of the iconic superhero, Superman, this movie re-tells the origin story of the last man of Krypton. Directed by Zack Synder and co-produced by Christopher Nolan, Superman must face off against General Zod, who threatens Earth. Man of Steel stars Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, and Kevin Costner.

Turbo (Dreamworks, PG, DVD & Blu-Ray) – The latest animated film from Dreamworks focuses on a snail who dreams of being more and acquires super-speed, which could lead him to compete in a major race against human cars! Turbo is a computer-animated feature and features the voices of Ryan Reynolds, Paul Giamatti, and Samuel L. Jackson.

Power Rangers: Seasons 8 to 12 (Shout! Factory, DVD Only) – This collector's box set includes five season sets of the superhero action series, Power Rangers. The set includes every episode of Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue, Power Rangers Wild Force, Power Rangers Time Force, Power Rangers Ninja Storm, and Power Rangers Dino Thunder. There are also extras including interviews and promos as well.

My Mother The Car: The Series (TGG Direct, DVD Only) – This short-lived fantasy sitcom from the 1960s stars Jerry Van Dyke as a man who discovers the spirit of his mother has been revived inside of an old car! He must help keep her a secret and fend off a passionate collector wanting to buy his mother. All 30 episodes of the series are in the set.
