Notable Home Video Releases: December 10th, 2013

Minions, racers, time travelers and nannies united on DVD and Blu-Ray for the second week of December in 2013.

These are some of the notable releases for December 10th, 2013 in Region 1 (North America) coming to retail on Blu-Ray and/or DVD:

Despicable Me 2 (Universal Studios, DVD & Blu-Ray, Rated PG) – The sequel to the popular animated film from Dreamworks has reformed villain Gru being called into service to track down another villain who threatens the day. The movie features the voice talents of Steve Carrell, Miranda Cosgrove, and Benjamin Bratt. The release also includes three all-new “mini-movies” based on the series.

Fast and Furious 6 (Universal Studios, DVD & Blu-Ray, Rated PG-13) – The sixth installment in the popular car-based franchise has the lead characters tracking another organization of deadly and dangerous drivers. The movie is one of Paul Walker's final works, also stars Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez. It's also available in an extended edition release.

Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Special: The Day of the Doctor (BBC Home Entertainment, DVD & Blu-Ray) – This anniversary special celebrates 50 years of the time-traveling science-fiction series which has fans all across the world. It involves multiple “Doctors” and is an extended-length adventure. The special stars John Hurt, Matt Smith, and David Tennant.

Mary Poppins: 50th Anniversary Edition (Disney, DVD & Blu-Ray, Rated G) – The popular fantasy movie involving a magical nanny who can fly with an umbrella receives a remastered version for its landmark silver anniversary. The film stars Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke.
