New Tropical Depression Forms in Eastern Pacific Near Mexico

The second Tropical Depression of the 2014 Eastern Pacific season has formed.

As of the 2am Pacific Time advisory on June 3rd from the National Hurricane Center, Tropical Depression 2-E is about 140 miles southwest of Salina Cruz, Mexico.

Tropical Storm Warnings are in effect for parts of Mexico as the storm will likely become Tropical Storm Boris later today.

The storm is expected to track north towards land, meaning that some part of southern Mexico could see as much as 10 to 20 inches of rain, with some areas possibly seeing even more than that.
