A 37-year-old New York man has converted his bedroom in his one-bedroom Manhattan apartment into an arcade.

Chris Kooluris says when he was unable to sell the apartment, he decided to instead convert it into the ultimate classic video game room.

"For 6 months I didn't get a single offer. So I decided to do something crazy and turn the space into an arcade," said Kooluris.

The colorful bedroom includes vintage video games such as Donkey Kong, Tron, Ms. Pacman and Punch Out. Kooluris says his favorite is Street Fighter, although he claims he does spend not much time playing the games unless company is over.

The renovation was initially a project he and his former fiancee took on together, but Kooluris' intense dedication to the project took its toll on their relationship.

"It definitely contributed a lot to us separating."

The game enthusiast spent approximately 30-thousand-dollars in coverting the bedroom which no longer includes a proper bed. Kooluris sleeps on a pull-out a futon every night along with a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle bed spread.
