Morning Crime Watch 7/10/13: Geneva Fires, Enterprise Car Jacking, Dothan Domestic Arrest

Geneva Fires (by Mike Gurspan):

Geneva police are investigating two suspicious house fires tonight.
They happened in the Radio Hill community.
Authorities say no one was in either home during the fires.
There was also no electricity to the homes.

Enterprise Car Jacking (Press Release from Enterprise PD):
ENTERPRISE, AL - At approximately 5:32 p.m. on July 8 the Enterprise Police Department responded to a business on College Street on a call for theft of a vehicle by force.

The victim advised that she went inside the business and left the vehicle running with her 10-year-old child in the car. The victim stated that she saw a white male in his late 40’s get in the driver’s seat and she ran to the vehicle to get her son out of the car.

The suspect brandished a knife and told her to get out of the car. The victim was able to get her son out of the vehicle unharmed. EPD Patrol Officers located the victim’s vehicle several minutes later, but the suspect was gone on arrival. This case is being investigated by EPD Criminal Investigations Division.

The EPD Criminal Investigations Division has determined the suspect’s identity as Dennis Wilson Finley Jr. A warrant has been obtained for Robbery 1st on Dennis Wilson Finley Jr. in Coffee County. This suspect is considered armed and dangerous, do not approach and immediately call 911. The EPD is also asking that anyone with information on the whereabouts of Dennis Wilson Finley Jr. to call 334-347-2222.


Dothan Domestic Violence Arrest (Dothan Police Press Release)

On July 5, 2013 the Dothan Police Department responded to the 200 block of Blissett Drive in reference to a domestic disturbance involving a Dothan resident and his girlfriend.

Investigators say Marcus Lerborio, 23, of Blissett Drive, assaulted his pregnant girlfriend with a metal belt buckle, which caused multiple injuries requiring the victim to be taken to the hospital.

Lerborio was taken into custody shortly after patrol officers arrived. He was charged with second degree Domestic Violence. His bond amount has been set at $10,000.
