Hundreds of kids came out to participate in Mud Day in Westland, Michigan (7/9).

Young people 12 and under got the chance to jump into a 75-by-150-foot mud pit at a park for two hours.

Organizers held events like ``Mud Limbo'' and wheelbarrow races. A King and Queen of Mud 2013 will also be crowned.

There are no showers on site to clean-up but after the event ends, the Western Wayne Hazmat team will be on hand to hose off muddy kids.
