WWSB Sarasota, Florida television news reporter Josh Taylor has seen a lot of things.
Getting carjacked is certainly its own chapter.
It started out with a 91-year old Venice, Florida woman claiming she had rented an 11-bedroom home on Siesta Key for a family reunion. It turns out though that after some code violations the home now only has five bedrooms.
She wanted her money back but was told no, even though it was in her contract that she was entitled to it.
The Sarasota County, Florida Sheriff's Office says the woman's name is Jean Price.
Taylor was setting up his camera Friday (1/31) afternoon when Price grabbed his camera tripod and placed it in the front seat of his news van.
Price then drove a short distance away from the house after yelling to Taylor that he was "going to leave".
A neighbor told WWSB, and ABC affiliate, that she works for the man who owns the home, local chiropractor Dr. Craig Siegal.
Siegal told WWSB that Price used to work for him but is just a friend and neighbor who looks out for the security of the house.
The State Attorney's office will decide if Price is charged with Grand Theft Auto.
