Power was knocked out Wednesday night to all homes and businesses in the area for hours tonight.

The outage is blamed on an oak tree that fell onto some lines.

Power is now being restored.

Snow's been falling for most of the day in big bear.

Some residents say this is the earliest she remembers snow in the San Bernardino mountains in the 40 years she's lived there.

A storm system digging into the west will bring unseasonably early snowfall to the mountains of southern California and snow to the Rockies before swinging east and bringing the threat of severe weather to parts of the plains.
