Finally. Coffee County students showed off their spelling skills Wednesday.

14 fourth through 8th graders in the Enterprise City, Elba City and Coffee County school districts competed in the spelling bee.

Holly hill elementary 5th grader Lindsey Bailey spelled "praline" to win first place.

She says she practiced with her parents.

Bailey will compete in the state spelling bee in Birmingham next month.

The winner of that will head to the national competition in Washington, D.C.
