The Cherry Blossoms are starting to bloom this week in Washington, D.C.

The National Park Service predicts the peak bloom period is still about four to six days away, meaning this weekend will be the best time to see the blossoms in full force.

The park service defines peak bloom as the days when 70 percent of the trees around the Tidal Basin are in bloom.
