The 2nd Annual Brony Fan Fair started in Austin, Texas on Friday, September 13th and continued over the weekend. On Twitter, Hilary (@hillaryxcore) shared some photos of the convention. The users show her dressed up as the convention's pony mascot, Rising Star. The convention had other people dressed up as characters from the show, panels to discuss various aspects of the show and the fandom, and other events.
In California, the Sac Brony Expo took place on September 14th. Held in Sacramento, the convention also had fans dressed up in costume, panels, musical performances, and other events. Christina (@LeekFish), the head of art and design for the Sac Brony Expo, shared photos on Twitter. These photos also show many items of fan-made merchandise for sell. The series has attracted a large fanbase of community artists, who create everything from written stories to comics to plushies of the characters to paintings and even original songs and animation.
