This week is Backyard Games Week, and every day News 4 This Morning is taking a look at a pair of popular ways to play outside every day.

Instead of the heavy weight of a wood bat or the strong metal of an aluminum one, wiffle ball involves a plastic bat and ball to play baseball outdoors with. The bats are typically long and yellow, but also come in other varieties like big and red. Typically, the balls are hollow and plastic and sometimes have holes or ventilation. Wiffle ball is a safer way for young children, or anyone else, to enjoy baseball.

One popular way to play basketball in the backyard is the game of horse, or H-O-R-S-E. In the game of horse, each letter of the word represents a shot. Once a player takes a shot, the next player must take a shot from the same spot, if they miss the shot, they get a letter and once they spell horse, they are out of the game!Horse can also be played in a quicker way by using the word pig instead.
