The Beckham family arrived at the Birmingham Airport Wednesday with a gift even Santa couldn't bring -- their newly adopted daughter.
Jamey and Heath Beckham have waited for more than a year to bring 2-year-old Ellie Kathryn home from China.
"It's been on their heart for a while," Anna Beckham said. "They have two boys, 10 and 7. Now, today, they're bringing home a little girl."
The crowd of family and friends erupts in cheers as the Beckham family comes down the escalator.
"We started this process officially about fifteen months ago," Jamey said. "So we're just so thrilled to have her home today."
Ellie is already having an impact on her new family.
"I told my brother we don't want to fight," Luke Beckham said, "Because then she'll get scared."
Ellie seems to be holding her own. She smiles when her new cousin gives her a piece of candy.
After the Beckhams catch up on their rest, they're looking forward to helping Ellie take her first few steps as a part of the family.
