With the conclusion of the 2013 Eurobasket international basketball tournament, all but four slots are set for the upcoming 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup.
Previously known as the FIBA World Championship, the 2014 Basketball World Cup will be taking place in Spain starting on August 30th, 2014.
As they are the hosts, Spain automatically qualifies.
The United States locked in their qualification after securing the gold medal in the 2012 Summer Olympics.
The results of the 2013 FIBA Africa Championship led to teams from Angola, Egypt and Senegal making the cut.
The 2013 FIBA Americas Championship led to Mexico, Puerto Rico, Argentina and Dominican Republic making it in the tournament.
After the 2013 FIBA Asia Championship, the countries of Iran, Phillipines and South Korea were set to represented in the World Cup.
And, finally, after the 2013 EuroBasket tournament, six more teams qualified: Croatia, France, Lithuania, Serbia, Slovenia and Ukraine.
Four “wild card” team entries will round out the 24 teams and will be announced in November 2013.
