Construction for a good cause, the Wiregrass Habitat for Humanity is at it again.
The walls have finally been raised for a family that is being blessed with a new house. Construction began last week and everyone is excited. Eddie and Bessie Cochran have been married for 32 years and they are very thankful to receive a new place to lay their heads.
Working hand in hand with volunteers throughout the Wiregrass, the Cochrans’ have devoted more than 500 sweat hours to their home and other habitat homes.
This is number 121 for the amount of homes built in the Wiregrass from the Habitat for Humanity.
"Well we've been painting; we've been going to clean up houses. I mean anything that habitat calls on us and asks us to do, we always do it," said Bessie Cochran.
Habitat officials tell me that they expect to complete this project by May.
