There's a new way for you to help the Walton County Sheriff's Office. They have implemented a new investigation system for the publics use.
"It's been great for also tracking secondhand dealers in pawn shops, especially in our community. That way it kind of helps aid investigators and law enforcement officers as a whole to be able to track transactions that take place because we are able to see all of that with using LeadOnline," said Catherine Gonzalez, Walton County’s Public Information officer.
The new program is called "leads-online". The service is free to the public and it allows citizens to aide law enforcement agencies in solving cases.
Especially cases dealing with theft and stolen property. Users can also store their serial numbers into the system this will allow the sheriff's office to easily track your item if it comes up missing.
