North Florida Man charged with Murder of Girlfriend

GREEN COVE SPRINGS, Fla. (AP) - The Clay County Sheriff's Office identified the victim Thursday as 46-year-old Roberta A. Laws, who had cerebral palsy. No family members have been found and police did not release the cause of her death.

Police found the woman's remains buried in 35-year-old Kenneth Ray McBride's yard Tuesday night after receiving a tip from his current girlfriend.

McBride is scheduled to be arraigned on April 15 on a murder charge. Court records do not list a lawyer. He is being held without bond.
