Army Veteran Athon Flemig says he's touched by Batson-Cook Construction Company's honor trip.

(Dothan, AL)--In honor of veteran’s day, Batson-Cook Construction Company took veterans from the wiregrass to the National Infantry Museum in Georgia.

The company built the museum and takes time each year to give service members a grand tour.

“When we got there, we were given a solute by the 192 Infantry Brigade, it was very touching,” Army Veteran Athon Fleming said. “I came close to tears several times and would definitely do it again,” he said.

The day’s itinerary included guided tours, an I-max movie and even an award presentation. Retired service members, like World War II veteran Hugo Griggs, also spent time sharing stories with one another.

The tour is free to all veterans; however reservations must be made in advance.
