A North Carolina woman has made it her mission to help wounded soldiers.
She spends her time making travel pillows for troops who were hurt while serving their country.
Lauren Melvin has the story.
It's just the little things that you wouldn't think of, that they need so desperately.
Nora Burleson doesn't have any family serving in the military...
And she's certainly not getting a paycheck for all her thread work.
I spend pretty much my entire day over here.
So when you ask her why she's making and sending hundreds of travel pillows to a military hospital in Germany she says.
Why not? It's just something wonderful to do.
They're thrilled to death to get them.
It's hard to put it into words. It's just a feeling you can't describe.
With the help of her husband Hobie the official "tagger and bagger"
(nats: this one's ready to go.)
Their church and some donations it's fitting each pillow is tagged "made for you with god's love."
When money has been rough, somebody's always provided.
If it were not for them, we couldn't do it.
And the payoff.
When we get thank you notes from one of these young men or women that's been injured, and they take the time to write or email us, they're so heartfelt.
They make goose bumps. I mean, they really make you appreciate your health and what they're going through.
It just means the world to me.
