Israel Media: Militants Cross border, Kill Israeli

Israeli radio and TV stations say militants have infiltrated southern Israel along the border with Egypt, setting off an explosive device and opening fire.

They say an Israeli civilian who was helping to build a security fence along the border with Egypt has been killed and that soldiers in the area opened fire on the attackers.

The Israeli military confirmed an exchange of fire in the area.
