Panama City, FL - All area veterans are invited to free medical and dental care at PanCare of Florida's two Community Health Centers in Panama City on Thursday, September 27 beginning at 8:00 a.m. The dental clinic is located at 707-A Jenks Avenue and the medical clinic is located at 2309 East 15th Street across from the Bay County Fairgrounds. Veterans do not need an appointment and are asked to bring any form of documentation which shows they served in the military. Income status is irrelevant.

"Our veterans deserve a pat on the back, and we cannot think of a better way to honor our veterans than to provide free medical and dental care at least once a year," says Mike Hill, president and chief executive officer of PanCare of Florida, a non-profit organization which operates Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) in Bay and Walton counties. Veterans will also receive healthcare products provided to PanCare of Florida from vendors like LabCorp, Crest, and Direct Relief International-USA.

"Often times we forget to express our gratitude to those individuals, our veterans, who have made sacrifices for America and our rights to live as a free people," says Hill. "Thursday's Stand Up for Veterans Day is one way the staffs of PanCare of Florida, Inc. and Community Health Centers - Bay County have chosen to recognize their service in defense of America, its ideals and the individual freedoms each of us enjoy as Americans."

Dental services to veterans (only) on the 27th include exams, x-rays, extractions, fillings and cleanings. Medical services include ear and eye exams, blood pressure checks, and screenings for blood sugar, oxygen levels and hemoglobin. Veterans will also be able to discuss other dental and health care issues with PanCare's dentists and medical doctors.

Veterans are encouraged to reserve an appointment slot to reduce wait time by completing an online form at up until the day prior to the event. However, walk-ins by veterans are still welcome at either the medical or dental clinic throughout September 27. Only veterans will be seen on the 27th.
