A crowd of loved ones welcomed home their soldiers after months of deployment late Monday night.

They've been gone for months, and now they can't wait to get back to their life at home.

Mia could hardly wait for her daddy to see the sign she made him to welcome him home.

The smiles, hugs, and tears say it all: “Welcome Home 164th Theater Airfields Operations Group Soldiers.”

After months of service in Afghanistan and Kuwait, to these soldiers, there is nothing sweeter than American soil.

And, there’s nothing better for the families, than their arms wrapped around their soldier.

Command sergeant Richard Ables’ wife tells news 4 she is looking forward to their dog, Gainey, seeing him for the first time in months because their fur baby starts crying at first sight too.

Those soldiers spent their deployment on operations in Kuwait and Afghanistan.

These assignments included supervising units that run army airfields.
