The Enterprise chapter of the Disabled American Veterans wants to start the first Veterans Day parade the city has held in decades.

This long-time dream of the current commander will finally take place this coming November on Main street in downtown.

They want to take the opportunity to focus on the female veterans who have served, even dedicating a float in their honor.

They're currently recruiting both female and male veterans who want to get involved.

"It's not just a DAV, not just an Enterprise, if you will, parade. It's basically the City of Enterprise sponsoring a Wiregrass area Veterans Day Parade and of course that will culminate with the ceremony we hold every year down at the Wall of Freedom,” says Commander Ken Prier.
