Former Ozark Mayor Bob Bunting is receiving recognition from the Association of the United States Army.

Crowds applauded as he was handed an award for outstanding achievement for his efforts with the Wiregrass Honor Flights.

Bunting has put countless hours and dedication into helping World War 2 veterans see their memorial in the nation's capital.

"That really will bring tears to your eyes if you have anything in your heart about soldiers and the greatest generation, be there Saturday night when those gentlemen get off the airplane," says Bunting.

He also thanked the Wiregrass Honor Flight board for all their hard work on making the flights possible.
