ATLANTA (AP) - Gen. David Petraeus, the U.S. Army's commander in
charge of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, is scheduled to address
the Atlanta Press Club.
Petraeus, who is scheduled to speak Tuesday afternoon, has been
in charge of the U.S. Central Command since October 2008.
Previously he served as commanding general, Multi-National Force -
Petraeus was in charge of the troop surge in Iraq in 2007.
He was involved in President Barack Obama's decision to send
additional troops to Afghanistan.
