General's Last Flight

Fort Rucker's commanding general took his last flight today over the base.

Maj. Gen. James Barclay III, of the U.S. Army Aviation Center of Excellence took to the air today for his last flight as commanding general at Fort Rucker.

Barclay has commanded USAACE since July 2008.

In traditional fashion, when he left the flight, Barclay was soaked from head to toe by fellow aviators as well as his son.

He will relinquish command to Brig. Gen. Anthony G. Crutchfield in a ceremony August 19th.
