Women in the Phillippines are taking a unique stand to put a stop to it in their country. They withheld sex.
The strike was an effort to end a separatist rebellion that's been underway on the island since the 1970s.
The women are part of a sewing cooperative who were fed up with not being able to deliver their products due to a main road being closed because of the violence.
So they withheld sex from their husbands until they promised to quit fighting.
Within weeks of the strike starting, the main village road reopened and the fighting stopped.
