A massive tropical system was still producing winds equivalent to a category five hurricane early Thursday morning.
Lekima is a Super Typhoon, and as of the mid-afternoon advisory (CHST), it was producing extremely strong winds of 160 miles per hour.
The storm is not immediately affecting any major land masses at this time, and was over 500 miles north/northeast of Guam.
It’s expected to begin to weaken slowly over the next 24 hours.
