In Denia, the traditional festival of 'bulls to the sea' continues to be celebrated. Despite facing much criticism, many fans defend this tradition, claiming the animals do not suffer.

The celebration takes place during the festivity of Dénia and brings together not only city residents, but has become a great tourist attraction. It is now one of the most popular festivals in the city. The show begins with the entry of bulls to "Semi-ring fight". Rules state the bull must make the participants fall into the waters of the Mediterranean, without touching. Once in the water, the bull is led to an exit ramp, which is installed next to the plaza.

This tradition began in 1926 as an amusing story, but has now become the hallmark of the holidays
