PARIS (AP) - The French air accident investigation agency says an expedition ship combing the Atlantic for pieces of Air France plane that crashed in 2009 is about to wrap up its operations.

The agency said in a statement Thursday the Alucia would finish its mission on Friday and leave the search area the following day.

The ship should reach the Brazilian port of Suape on Tuesday.

Earlier this week, the agency announced the search located significant amounts of wreckage, including bodies of some of the
victims.

Previous search efforts had turned up nothing.

All 228 people aboard the Airbus aircraft were killed when Air France Flight 447 from Rio de Janeiro to Paris crashed June 1, 2009.

The cause of the crash remains unclear.
