It appears a deal has been struck to end the diplomatic crisis between the U.S. and China over political activist Chen Guangcheng.
The blind Chinese activist could be heading to the states. American and Chinese diplomats are working on a deal to allow Chen to study abroad and bring his family with him.
New York University has offered Chen an invitation to be a visiting scholar. The U.S. said it will grant Chen and his family visas as soon as China makes its move.
