The only active Tropical cyclone in the Pacific Ocean is not expected to pose a threat to land.
As of 4am Central Time, Tropical Storm Olivia was over 800 miles to the west and southwest of the southernmost tip of Baja California.
The storm is a strong Tropical Storm with sustained winds of 60 miles per hour (95 kilometers per hour) and is moving to the north at 5 miles per hour.
While very little change in strength is expected today, Olivia should begin to weaken tomorrow and could be only at Tropical Depression-level strength by tomorrow evening.
Olivia’s current track takes it away from land.
